Ode to a Lady

I have long forgotten why
Why I admire the sky

The divine flow of the clouds
The moon's devoted shroud

Reminiscent of purity
This heavenly beauty

I now remember why
Why I admire the sky

For 'twas the day I caught your eye
But could not say hi

Seraphim

Servants of the Divine light
Tolerate morning, noon and night
Forgiveness sought for this might

Limitless power
Uncontrollable anger
Souls as wager

Half-dead corpses
Drawn are their last few breaths
Woeful yet meaningful deaths

Mangled bodies crawling in agony
Seeketh they,
Riddance from their misery

Thus our reason for being
Born from the darkness within

To souls wicked and poor alike,
Be it moments of war or peace
We offer release
By the sword and the pike

Desertion

I've fallen again
All honor down the drain
Transcended by the ecstasy
The pleasure it offered to me

Reasoning gone in a whiff
Death slowly creeping on with each sniff
I can feel its breath down my neck
As I get closer to being a wreck

Indeed I am broken
The end is no longer an if but a when
You're to blame, yes, you friend
Coz you never even extended a helping hand

You heard not my silent cries of help
My torn soul's shouts and yelps
No one to hear, none of you near
I shed the very last tear

And I delved further down the darkness
To make up for this emptiness
And I found this addiction, my adulteress
That precious temptress, my only empress
